About This Position


The Sales Representative is a key member of the Business Development Team. They sell to a broad range of customers across all market segments. They are responsible for growing sales, achieving sales quotas, and developing and achieving account objectives, account rationalization and channel management. They maintain existing accounts, grow, and expand customer relationships. They deliver a high level of customer satisfaction, professionalism, sales performance, and customer engagement. They ensure that the customer needs and expectations are met.

Preferred Educational Experience:

College degree in Business or equivalent business experience preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

3 – 5 years of customer service and/or inside sales experience and/or 1-2 years sales or technical sales experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to perform all safety critical functions. The product must be built to the designated specs approved and cannot be deviated or substituted. The control, performance and tolerance are essential for the part to function so that it does not jeopardize public safety or it’s compliance with government regulations.
  • Must be able to recognize and call the critical characteristic symbols as listed on the blueprints.
  • Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customers and prospective accounts.
  • Coordinates the involvement of Company personnel and management resources to meet account performance objectives and customer’s expectations.
  • Works with Engineers to achieve account objectives & prioritizes the Engineer’s short term and long-term activities at the customer.
  • Communicates and interfaces with the customer’s organizations on matters concerning but not limited to contracts, pricing, and future business opportunities.
  • Fully understand the account’s current and future needs.
  • Qualifies accounts for rationalization and channel management.
  • Create strategy and develop, manage, and ensure realization of sales for the assigned accounts.
  • Meets assigned goals for profitable sales and pricing.
  • Keeps records and makes reports on all phases of activities.
  • They support the Business Development Team with sales reports, presentations and sales support.
  • Monitors and analyzes competitive activity.
  • Attends trade shows, conferences, and industry functions, to promote, learn and enhance market knowledge on behalf of the Company.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Self-starter. Ability to think outside the box, vision oriented, entrepreneurial solution driven.

  • Market knowledge.
  • Communication skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • IFS and ProdApp database skills are a bonus, but training will be offered.
  • High energy level and professionalism.
  • Time management skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Data entry & analysis
  • 80% of the time sitting.
  • Some bending/stooping
  • Lifting to 50lbs
  • Climate controlled environment
  • Domestic and possibly international Traveling required as needed.
