About This Position

Summary:

Design Tooling (CAD 2-D and 3-D modeling), Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products.   Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

Preferred Educational Experience:

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum three (3) years work experience in engineering support field.

Essential Functions:

• Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixturing requirements for new products.
• Proficient in Design using  CAD 2-D and 3-D modeling.
• Develop manufacturing routings.
• Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.:  stock requisitions, RFQ’s, ECR’s, ECN’s).
• Review production capacity
• Define process capability through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation and statistical methods.
• Support continuous improvement team activities.
• Manage the areas of Orscheln business as assigned.
• Troubleshoot tool, equipment and process issues
• Develop and implement error proofing
• Assist with operator training as required
• Develop job instruction sheets
• MRB Authority/Disposition

Non-Essential Functions:

• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Data entry
• 80% of the time sitting
• Some bending/stooping
• Lifting less than 35lbs
• Climate controlled environment
