Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Summary:

Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products. Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

Educational Experience:

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum three (3) years work experience in engineering support field.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixturing requirements for new products
  • Develop manufacturing routings
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.: stock requisitions, RFQ's, ECR's, ECN's)
  • Review production capacity
  • Define process capability through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation and statistical methods
  • Support continuous improvement team activities
  • Manage the areas of Orscheln business as assigned
  • Troubleshoot tool, equipment and process issues
  • Develop and implement error proofing
  • Assist with operator training as required
  • Develop job instruction sheets

Position: Maintenance Manager

Opening at the Orscheln Farm and Home Distribution Center located in Abilene, Kansas. Training provided upon hire in Moberly, MO.

Responsible for supporting Retail Support Center operations by managing the Maintenance department which includes inside and outside the facility. Will support the operation by maintaining the facility, all conveyer and lift equipment through the PM program. Must possess strong electrical and forklift repair experience.

  • Manage Maintenance Technicians, Mechanics, Specialists, and Laborers
  • Maintain the monthly PM schedule for all equipment
  • Approve and order repair parts for all equipment
  • Manage major internal and external facility projects
  • Manage the cardboard, plastic and store cardboard recycle program and trash disposal
  • Maintain replacement schedule for equipment
  • Track and present quarterly updates for equipment cost
  • Conduct monthly drain test
  • Coordinate annual fire pump flow testing
  • Prepare and submit CapEx plan and requests for approval with competitive quote as needed
  • Manage store requirements for pallet jacks

Position:  Graphics Coordinator –Grade 7
Position Responsibilities:
  • Lay out sale flyers, catalogs, brochures and other advertising materials as assigned.
  • Gather text and photos for flyers and other print jobs.
  • Contact vendors/buyers for missing art and product information.
  • Organize product photo shoot when photos are not available from vendor.
  • Assure that all art is print ready, outline, scan, clean up etc.
  • Produce and send newspaper/publication ads.
  • Work with outside printing vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Skilled in Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat, Fireworks on Mac platform.

Position: Quality Engineer
Summary:

Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products. Assists Quality personnel with daily quality requirements for production and provides support to other departments as required on quality issues.

Educational Experience:

College degree, equivalent ASQ Certification or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years experience in quality and manufacturing. Auditing experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and implement methods and standards of inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, measuring, and test equipment (gage calibration).
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Devise sampling procedures and related forms / instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist the production teams on issues related to corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works closely with other departments to create liaison and channel information exchange. Job requirements are flexible and individual must be able to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Participate on new product development teams to ensure a smooth transition of new products to the manufacturing floor and completion of all quality documentation.
  • Organize and implement quality audits, including resolution of non-conformances.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material.
  • Provide assistance with customer quotations by evaluating quality specifications.
  • Support Sales through customer visits on product quality issues required.
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Supervise Quality personnel as required by Quality Manager.
  • Prefer a working knowledge of Automotive Core tools.

Summary:

Assemble components in a manner which produces a cost effective, quality product, safely and on time. Participate in team operations within corporate policy guidelines.

Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Work Experience:

Prior assembly experience preferred but not required.

Essential Functions:

Communicate within the assembly team to provide needed information for the manufacture of product. Perform assigned or required tasks to assure product is correct and on time. Assist teammates in completing tasks in a timely manner. Document and maintain required product information. Aid the team's efforts to continually improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Perform assembly-specific skills within acceptable time limits when given proper training. Participate in team operations as requested. Other duties as assigned.
