Position: QA Analyst
Summary:

Develop and implement quality programs that are designed to achieve zero defective components in manufacturing. Provide additional quality support services for the facility as required to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High school diploma, ASQ certification or equivalent job experience preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

Two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred. Computer literacy and good typing skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Inspects parts, products and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards by utilizing fixed or variable measuring instruments.
  • Process Customer Returns which include failure mode analysis and preparation of corrective action plans. Maintain a follow-up system that ensures implementation of corrective action.
  • Prepares monthly reports on internal defects, scrap, out-going PPM, number of customer returns, reason for customer return, responsible department, and others as necessary.
  • Completes sample submissions for customers.
  • Performs gauge R&R studies.
  • Conducts/analyzes statistical process capability and control studies.
  • Develop and implement methods and standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Floor inspection and process audits as required.
  • May train and/or assign and check work of other inspectors.
  • Initiate deviations, and maintain a follow-up system to ensure corrective actions are implemented, and verification of corrective action is performed.

Position: Director of Merchandising
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals
  • Establishes and maintains measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities, to include, but not limited to, supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financial performance and maintain appropriate in-stock quantities.
  • Manages business with focus on Key Performance Indicators (such as sales, margin, inventory, GMROI).
  • Ensures performance improvement through category performance and item evaluation.

Position: Buyer's Assistant
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Buyer with supplier and store communication (written and verbal).
  • Set up items, perform system maintenance, enter advertising flyer information and maintain all files.
  • Assist with acquiring information out of our Micro-strategies report writing system.
  • Assist in developing plan-o-grams.
  • Some travel may be required (less than 5%).

Position: District Manager - Located in South Eastern Missouri
Summary:

Manages the Operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in assigned area. Responsible for hiring, training and development of all levels of store employment. Responsible for achieving budgeted KPI's within all stores in their district. Coordinate the delivery of the Quality, Service, and Convenience pledge. Coordinate the delivery of the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program. Maintain strong communication between Operations and all departments to ensure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the Customer's first choice. Excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills needed. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights required. Reports to the Director of Operations. Multi-unit retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assigned stores in the performance of all corporate operations to maximize KPI's.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control and loss prevention.
  • Supervise and train Store Managers.
  • Involved in the hiring/promotional practices for the Associate Store Manager training program.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for Stores.
  • Supervise the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service plan.
  • Maintain a program of store standards for image, labor management and facilities maintenance.
  • Implement Advertising and Sales promotion programs.

Inventory Coordinator
Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Inventory Department in Product distribution throughout the Farm and Home chain. Interacts with Store personnel, Re-Buyers, Product Management, RSC personnel, Accounting, and Orscheln Farm and Home Suppliers. Reports to the Planning and Optimization Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Answers the Farm and Home Inventory Help Line and reviews email for the help line for product requests from the stores.
  • Creates re-writes for the RSC and stores as directed.
  • Assists the Inventory Re-Buyers with direct ship purchase orders.
  • Assists the Inventory Re-Buyers with product movement from the RSC.
  • Contacts Farm and Home suppliers for ship dates and follow-up of purchase orders.
  • Assists with creation/maintenance of reports as needed.

Position: Quality Engineer
SUMMARY:

Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products. Assists quality personnel with daily quality requirements for production and provide support to other departments as required on quality issues.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

College degree, equivalent ASQ Certification or equivalent work experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of six (6) years experience in quality and manufacturing. Auditing experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop and implement methods and standards of inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, measuring, and test equipment (gage calibration).
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Devise sampling procedures and related forms / instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist the production teams on issues related to corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works closely with other departments to create liaison and channel information exchange. Job requirements are flexible and individual must be able to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Participate on new product development teams to insure a smooth transition of new products to the manufacturing floor and completion of all quality documentation.
  • Organize and implement quality audits, including resolution of non-conformance's.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material.
  • Provides assistance with customer quotations by evaluating quality specifications.
  • Support Sales through customer visits on product quality issues required.
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Supervise quality personnel as required by Quality Manager.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
