Design Drafter
Summary:

Adheres to established engineering and design standards. Produces and maintains drawings for Orscheln Company. Checks and verifies customer data for compatibility with Orscheln standards. Supports inter and intra departmental business activities through understanding of engineering standards and documentation.

Educational Experience:

Two (2) years of formal education training with emphasis on mechanical drafting and design and related shop processes. Demonstrated ability with CAD.

Work Experience:

One (1) year of active support in the capacity of drafting or design of a mechanical engineering activity. Demonstrated ability to use the native or similar CAD system. Working knowledge and demonstrated contact with engineering reference standards. These standards to include, but not limited to: ANSI, ASTM, SAE or MIL standards.

Essential Functions:
  • Member of a managed and supervised staff
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Work independently and in cooperation with various personnel
  • Capable of directing, prioritizing and managing multiple jobs
  • May direct the function of personnel in lower classifications
  • Handle multiple job assignments as assigned

QA Analyst
Summary:

Develop and implement quality programs that are designed to achieve zero defective components in manufacturing. Provide additional quality support services for the facility as required to support organizational goals and initiatives.

Education:

High school diploma, ASQ certification or equivalent job experience preferred.

Work Experience:

Two (2) years of manufacturing experience preferred. Computer literacy and good typing skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office software preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Inspect parts, products and/or processes to ensure conformance with standards by utilizing fixed or variable measuring instruments.
  • Process Customer Returns which include failure mode analysis and preparation of corrective action plans. Maintain a follow-up system that ensures implementation of corrective action.
  • Prepare monthly reports on internal defects, scrap, out-going PPM, number of customer returns, reason for customer return, responsible department, and others as necessary.
  • Complete sample submissions for customers.
  • Perform gauge R&R studies.
  • Conduct/analyze statistical process capability and control studies.
  • Develop and implement methods and standards for inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Floor inspections and process audits as required.
  • May train and/or assign and check work of other inspectors.
  • Initiate deviations, and maintain a follow-up system to ensure corrective actions are implemented, and verification of corrective action is performed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Customer Service Administrator
Summary:

Insures that customers receive the best service possible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other departments as required. Acts as customer contact regarding pricing, scheduling and shipping.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalence preferred.

Work Experience:

Must have positive attitude and pleasant demeanor. Prefer one (1) year working in an office setting.

Essential Functions:
  • Processes new orders as well as changes to existing orders through proper channels.
  • Reviews contracts and purchase orders to assure 100% compliance to meet Orscheln standards and Customer needs.
  • Maintains and updates documented procedures within department.
  • Provides appropriate product or service information to current and potential Customers.
  • Prepares computer input regarding new orders, accounts, etc.
  • Confirms prices based on standard procedures as set forth by the company.
  • Refers to supervisor or Sales Representative all non-routine or serious problems.
  • Communicates and interfaces with the customer's organization on matters concerning but not limited to contracts, order placement and adjustments to orders, pricing, billing and shipment routings.
  • Work with Quality to resolve customer complaints
  • Work with Engineering and Sales when gaining or expanding business and/or projects.
  • Must be able to learn new duties and meet changing conditions quickly and adjust to them with little difficulty.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
