Position: Director of Operations
Position Summary

OPM is seeking to recruit a Director of Operations, who will have the opportunity to train under the direction of the Executive V.P./General Manager, who is starting to transition toward retirement. The Director of Operations will help oversee and direct the existing businesses and the properties held within those businesses, and will assist in creating and directing a deliberate plan for future growth. For over 25 years Orscheln Property Management Co. LLC ("OPM") has been a successful property management and development company. The company currently has 8 LLC companies with property investments in three Midwestern states including; Missouri, Kansas and Iowa. Position: Director of E-Commerce
Position Summary

The Director of E-Commerce will be the leader in designing and directing the company’s growth in omnichannel marketing. This individual will collaborate with senior leaders in Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Logistics, Store Operations and IT to develop and maintain a cohesive strategy for the direct-to-consumer and retail store business. He/she will lead a team in focusing on an omnichannel strategy that effectively incorporates marketing and technology.

Job Responsibilities

Position: Human Resources Assistant
Summary:

Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes, and process payroll for manufacturing facilities. Acts as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.

Preferred Educational Experience:

 High School degree or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years in Human Resources Department. Knowledge of computers, calculator, fax and copy machines.

Responsibilities:
  • Lay out sale flyers, catalogs, brochures and other advertising materials as assigned.

Position: District Manager – Eastern Region

Opening in District 7 (Iowa, NE Missouri). Reports to the Regional Director of Operations - Eastern Region.

Summary:

Manages the Operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in assigned area. Responsible for hiring, training and development of all levels of store employment. Responsible for achieving budgeted KPI's with in all stores in their district. Coordinate the delivery of the Quality, Service, and Convenience pledge. Coordinate the delivery of the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program. Maintain strong communication between Operations and all departments to insure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the Customers' first choice. Excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills needed. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights required. Multi-unit retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assigned stores in the performance of all corporate operations to maximize KPI's.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control and loss prevention.
  • Supervise and train Store Managers.
  • Involved in the hiring/promotional practices for the Associate Store Manager training program.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for Stores.

SUMMARY:

Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products. Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Minimum three (3) years work experience in engineering support field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixture requirements for new products.
  • Develop manufacturing routings.
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.: stock requisitions, RFQ’s, ECR’s, ECN’s).

Position: Manufacturing Manager
Summary:

Has the authority to allocate management support and direction for manufacturing engineering, all manufacturing, maintenance, and warehouse activities. Maintain and improve the manufacturing and distribution functions by coordinating efforts of the operations work force and providing technical and equipment support for improved performance. Leads and plans utilizing Lean Manufacturing to establish goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes. Deploys Lean manufacturing methodologies and tools in order to accomplish business objectives. Preferred Educational Experience: BS or MBA in Engineering or Engineering Management preferred but not required.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years manufacturing management experience which demonstrates supervisory skills, analytical skills, and understanding of process flow.

LTA Productivity Offset

  • Any agreed upon cost downs to existing customers would need review and determine what activities we could target to aid in the cost reduction efforts to meet the long term agreement %
  • LTA agreements would be reviewed as part of a CFT with individual departments such as Prod. Eng., Mfg. Eng., Sales, Operations Management and Purchasing signing up to meet overall objective
