Position: Associate Buyer – Salary, Grade 10

The Associate Buyer is responsible for supporting the Buyer in all aspects of developing, communicating, and executing the strategic business plans. In this position the individual will learn the buying and related processes. This position is designed to help prepare an individual for a Buyer position. Position reports to a Buyer(s).

Responsibilities:
  • Reports to assigned Buyer(s) and assists in the achievement of the budget metrics – sales, gross margin $$ and %%, Turn and vendor support/rebate dollars.
  • Works with the Buyer to manage, execute and communicate the line review process.
  • Supports the Buyer with product analysis for events and promotions.
  • Maintains the day to day management of assigned categories.
  • Communicates and executes the assortment building plans and planograms.
  • Executes all details of the advertising plan, entering promos, proofing ads and point of contact for product details.
  • Works with Inventory Management and Marketing on assigned lines.
  • Negotiates costs, scan backs and buy backs with vendors in conjunction with the Buyer.
  • Aids in executing the test programs including detailed analysis.

Position: General Maintenance/Set Up

Positions are regional and report to the Store Development/Construction Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Basic construction skills, painting, and finish work
  • Floor care
  • Landscaping
  • Operate small equipment (power lifts, scissor lifts, pressure washers, skid loaders, backhoes)
  • Practical knowledge and use of hand and power tools
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, masonry, lighting, HVAC, asphalt repair, concrete, roofing, and door equipment
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

 

Requirements:
  • Detail oriented with the ability to follow general instructions

Position: Distribution Center Operations Manager
Summary:

Responsible for first shift Distribution Center operations including the Inbound, Outbound, Inventory Control, Returns, E-Commerce, Production Analysis, Maintenance and Safety areas. Ensure the safe, timely, and productive flow of product through the Distribution Center with a special emphasis on quality control. Offices at the Distribution Center in Moberly, MO and reports to the Director of Logistics.

Experience:

Experience with Computerized Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanning and Voice equipment, Retail Distribution System, General Warehousing, Microsoft Office Products, Retail store experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides leadership and direction for supervisory and direct labor associates including maintenance and safety.
  • Ensure timely & efficient receipt, replenishment, picking & loading of all products.
  • Works closely with the corporate buying and planning teams to insure consistent flow of merchandise to our stores.
  • Assist in the development and adherence to the operating budget.
  • Staffing in order to meet throughput commitments.
  • Develop, recommend and implement continuous improvements for the operation.
  • Develop and manage productivity standards.
  • Oversee timely processing of all E-Commerce orders.
  • Operational responsibility for processing recalls, outdated, and defective merchandise returns.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all materials handling equipment, conveyors, facilities and grounds.

Position: Accounts Payable Clerk

Processes accounts payable including verifying invoices and credit card receipts, coding expenses, and preparing vouchers for payment.

Essential Functions:
  • Processes payments to vendors in accordance with payment terms and approval process. This includes verification of receipt, receipt quantity, price invoiced, and data entry of the transactions.
  • Verifies accuracy of checks to vendors and mails remittances and checks to vendors.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
  • Files cash disbursement documentation.
  • Scan project receipts.
  • Process credit card transactions including receipt collection and data entry of the transaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Drivers service 165+ store locations throughout the Midwest from the Farm & Home Distribution Center in Moberly, MO.

Single driver runs with well-maintained equipment and home on weekends. Qualified candidates must have current 3 year verifiable driving history, clean MVR and CSA record. Current annual average salary $65,000 which includes per diem, miles, stops, safety/violation-free, and productivity bonuses. A comprehensive benefit package available.

Orscheln Farm & Home provides an entry level Truck Driver program at a pre-approved professional Driving School for those that meet required qualifications.

Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (Intern-Temporary)

This is an hourly position and will report to the EHS Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the EHS Manager to research and complete assigned projects
  • Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
  • Prepare draft hazardous waste quarterly report packets
  • Research and update templates for safety training
  • Audit Chemical Hazard Communication HazCom labeling
  • Recommend improvements to basic EHS forms, work instructions, and SDS database the HazCom Program
  • Participate in EHS inspections
  • Other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager

 

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a four-year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
  • Must have had prior education in OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction
  • Must possess solid analytical and technical skills
