Position: Buyer's Assistant
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Buyer with supplier and store communication (written and verbal).
  • Set up items, perform system maintenance, enter advertising flyer information and maintain all files.
  • Assist with acquiring information out of our Micro-strategies report writing system.
  • Assist in developing plan-o-grams.
  • Some travel may be required (less than 5%).

Position: Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)
Summary:

Participate in management of manufacturing operations to provide customers with cost effective, quality product, safely and on time. Maintain department activity and supply training and aide when necessary. Provide management support and direction to department. Supply management with departmental performance information as requested. Manage department operations within corporate policy guidelines.

Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.

Work Experience:

Three (3) to five (5) years supervisory experience.

Essential Functions:

Position: Quality Systems Coordinator
Preferred Educational Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years experience in quality and automotive or aerospace manufacturing. Auditing experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform duties required to coordinate, research, review, implement, and audit customer-required quality systems in assigned production facility.
  • Assist all departments and plant management staff in the coordination, implementation, and auditing of the required quality system policy, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Develop and maintain dependable communications, both written and verbal, as well as a working relationship with all company departments and associates.
  • Attend training and facilitate/conduct necessary quality training of all personnel in the areas of the quality system and other quality driven training such as statistical process control, problem solving, etc.
  • Serve as an internal auditor and conduct and participate in the internal quality audits as scheduled and assigned.
  • Assist with outside quality audits as assigned.
  • Monitor and assist with closure of corrective actions for area of assigned responsibility.
  • Audits and follow-ups must be done to cover all three shifts.
  • Maintain internal audit documentation and records required for third party audits.
  • Coordinate activities to insure compliance to quality system.
  • Maintain open communications between quality department and other departments.
  • Provide any support required to aid the production departments in producing quality products and services.
  • Participate in a team environment to develop solutions to problems that are encountered in the processes used or products being produced.
  • Assist quality department with customer complaints and problems as assigned, participating in problem-solving approaches when solving customer and in-house complaints.
  • Communicate with management and customers on follow-ups as required.
  • When needed, represent Orscheln on quality functions such as customer complaints and corrective action.
  • Audit specified corrective actions to verify implementation of actions and validate effectiveness of actions taken.

  • Follow the requirements of the Quality Policy, QMS system, and procedures.

Position: District Manager - Located in Western Kansas
Summary:

Manages the Operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in assigned area. Responsible for hiring, training and development of all levels of store employment. Responsible for Sales budget, Controllable Expenses, Gross Margin, Management Index, and Inventory Control. Coordinate the delivery of the Quality, Service, and Convenience pledge. Coordinate the delivery of the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program. Maintain strong communication between Operations and all departments to insure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the Customers first choice. Excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills needed. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights required. Reports to the Director of Operations. Multi-unit retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assigned stores in the performance of all corporate operations to maximize sales, gross margin and management index.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control and loss prevention.
  • Supervise and train Store Managers.
  • Involved in the hiring/promotional practices for the Associate Store Manager training program.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for Stores.
  • Supervise the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service plan.
  • Maintain a program of store standards for image, labor management and facilities maintenance.
  • Implement Advertising and Sales promotion programs.
