Position: Small Engine Service Center Manager (Multi-Unit)

Position reports to the Outdoor Lawn Equipment Buyer and offices out of Small Engine Service Center in Moberly, MO.

Responsibilities:

Oversees multiple small engine service centers throughout organization:

  • Manages customer relations and ensures that associates are providing Trademark Customer Service.
  • Assists in resolving customer disputes, including warranty issues, when needed.
  • Establish Service Center guidelines for a safe, efficient and profitable operation.
  • Manages the profit and loss of the centers, including expense control, pricing structure, and mark up of parts.
  • Oversees inventory control, including managing vendor relations and approving purchases and stocking activities.
  • Oversees facility maintenance expenses.
  • Monitors associate productivity.
  • Ensures compliance of safety standards, company guidelines, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develops plans, programs, and promotions to increase production and customer service satisfaction levels.
  • Schedules and conducts ongoing training sessions, utilizing outside resources when appropriate.
  • Makes recommendations for advertisements/promotions as needed.
  • Prepares and analyzes statistical reports and utilize this information in managing trends and profitability.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Moberly SE Service Center Location:

  • Supervises technicians and other associates at the center.
  • Maximizes sales and profitability by maintaining and scheduling appropriate work load according to operation hours and associate availability.
  • Prepares estimates and work orders; works closely in conjunction with the stores to obtain needed info and communicates expected return date.
  • Assists technicians with diagnosing and repairs if needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Experience, Skills & Abilities:
  • Prior management experience
  • Small Engine Repair Knowledge (extensive knowledge of the small engine repair industry required. Minimum 5 years experience in small engine repair)
  • Small Engine certification for EETC or certified experience with Briggs & Stratton, Stihl, Husqvarna or Kohler

Position: Divisional Director of Merchandising
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage and mentor a team of purchasing professionals
  • Establishes and maintains measurable performance metrics for all levels of procurement activities, to include, but not limited to, supplier performance, supplier quality, internal order placement performance, buyer activity levels, financial performance and maintain appropriate in-stock quantities.

Position: Planogram Assistant
Responsibilities:
  • Measure Product
  • Compile data about stores.
  • Work with vendors on setting product in a POG.
  • Work with Product Managers on setting product in a POG.
  • Create POG from fineline list or buyers guides.
  • Communicate and supply stores with seasonal sets, fixture requirements and needs, POG needs.
  • Slot various POGs going to the stores.
  • Review financial performances of in-progress POG as well as past POG.
  • Fixture ordering as needed.
  • Update current POG with new product lines or items in conjunction with product manager.
  • Create reports to assist in decision making processes.
  • Provide clear direction on POG status.

Position: District Manager
Summary:

Manages the Operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in assigned area. Responsible for hiring, training and development of all levels of store employment. Responsible for achieving budgeted KPI’s with in all stores in their district. Coordinate the delivery of the Quality, Service, and Convenience pledge. Coordinate the delivery of the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program. Maintain strong communication between Operations and all departments to insure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the Customers first choice. Excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills needed. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights required. Reports to the Director of Operations. Multi-unit retail management experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assigned stores in the performance of all corporate operations to maximize KPI’s.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control and loss prevention.
  • Supervise and train Store Managers.
  • Involved in the hiring/promotional practices for the Associate Store Manager training program.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for Stores.
  • Supervise the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service plan.

Position: Manufacturing Electrical Engineer
SUMMARY:

The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will assist our Manufacturing team to support the design and development of electronics control and monitoring circuitry for powered equipment applications. The successful candidate will possess good communication skills, both verbal and written, the ability to interface with diverse individuals and groups, and strong planning and organizational abilities.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Applicable work experience will also be considered. Two to five years of related engineering experience in design and manufacture of electronic assemblies. Experience in electronics simulation, automobile or commercial vehicle industry would be beneficial.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Support the development of prototype and production tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment.
  • Support activities related to APQP steps appropriate to insure development of reliable products and created.
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (stock requisitions, tool sheets, expense reports).
  • Perform all other tasks and "special assignments" as assigned.
  • Develop hardware/software to download programs to circuit boards
  • Develop design concepts for test units to test various electronic control mechanisms
  • Develop test programs using National Instruments Lab View to test various electronic control mechanisms

Position: Maintenance Electrician - Orscheln Property Management LLC
Summary:

Work under minimal supervision to perform routine duties safely and as assigned to maintain company equipment and facilities. Duties include, but are not limited to, those listed below. Assist and support other maintenance personnel as required. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules.

Desired Qualifications:

High School degree or equivalent expected. Minimum of 5 years electrical maintenance and repair experience. Must have valid driver’s license. Prefer City Electrician’s license.

Essential Functions:

  • Generate and complete “want list” of materials for assigned tasks

Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (Intern-Temporary)

This is an hourly position and will report to the EHS Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the EHS Manager to research and complete assigned projects
  • Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
  • Prepare draft hazardous waste quarterly report packets
  • Research and update templates for safety training
  • Audit Chemical Hazard Communication HazCom labeling
  • Recommend improvements to basic EHS forms, work instructions, and SDS database the HazCom Program
  • Participate in EHS inspections
  • Other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager

 

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a four-year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
  • Must have had prior education in OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction
  • Must possess solid analytical and technical skills
