Position: Quality Engineer
Summary:

Plans and directs activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials, and products. Assists Quality personnel with daily quality requirements for production and provides support to other departments as required on quality issues.

Educational Experience:

College degree, equivalent ASQ Certification or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years experience in quality and manufacturing. Auditing experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and implement methods and standards of inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Establish and maintain programs to evaluate the precision and accuracy of production, measuring, and test equipment (gage calibration).
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Devise sampling procedures and related forms / instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist the production teams on issues related to corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works closely with other departments to create liaison and channel information exchange. Job requirements are flexible and individual must be able to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Participate on new product development teams to ensure a smooth transition of new products to the manufacturing floor and completion of all quality documentation.
  • Organize and implement quality audits, including resolution of non-conformances.
  • Develop and implement methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material.
  • Provide assistance with customer quotations by evaluating quality specifications.
  • Support Sales through customer visits on product quality issues required.
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Supervise Quality personnel as required by Quality Manager.
  • Prefer a working knowledge of Automotive Core tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Inventory Specialist
Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Allocation and Replenishment department in ordering and maintenance of all Farm & Home inventory, and the effective flow throughout the Farm & Home chain. Interacts with store personnel via the Inventory Help line, Re-Buyers, Buyers, Accounting, RSC inbound and outbound, and OF&H suppliers. Reports to the Replenishment Supervisor.

Responsibilities (shared):
  • Assists Re-Buyers with replenishment, seasonal and promotional orders as needed.
  • Assists Re-Buyers with allocations and transfers to stores as needed.
  • Responsible for new store ordering, relocation and remodel comparisons and analysis.
  • Maintain Forecast module to include approval, cloning, promotion outages and forecasts on questionable items - also included reporting from Forecast module.
  • Monitor and order storm stock - coordinate packages as requested.
  • Monitor and maintain supply items, replenishment settings and purchase orders.
  • Compile, analyze and coordinate raincheck distribution.
  • Analyze weekly Sync Report and Red Prairie audit reports.
  • Compile and distribute the monthly discontinued trial balance.
  • Compile and distribute other weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to management.
  • Compile and analyze department reporting as needed, which includes audit reports and store requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position: Buyer's Assistant
Responsibilities:
  • Assist Buyer with supplier and store communication (written and verbal).
  • Set up items, perform system maintenance, enter advertising flyer information and maintain all files.
  • Assist with acquiring information out of our Micro-strategies report writing system.
  • Assist in developing plan-o-grams.
  • Some travel may be required (less than 5%).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Summary:

Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products. Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

Educational Experience:

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree.

Work Experience:

Minimum three (3) years work experience in engineering support field.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixturing requirements for new products.
  • Develop manufacturing routings.
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.: stock requisitions, RFQ's, ECR's, ECN's).
  • Review production capacity
  • Define process capability through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation and statistical methods.
  • Support continuous improvement team activities.
  • Manage the areas of Orscheln business as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot tool, equipment and process issues
  • Develop and implement error proofing
  • Assist with operator training as required

Position: Assembly Operator
Summary:

Assemble components in a manner which produces a cost effective, quality product, safely and on time. Participate in team operations within corporate policy guidelines.

Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

Work Experience:

Prior assembly experience preferred but not required.

Essential Functions:

Communicate within the assembly team to provide needed information for the manufacture of product. Perform assigned or required tasks to assure product is correct and on time. Assist teammates in completing tasks in a timely manner. Document and maintain required product information. Aid the team's efforts to continually improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Perform assembly-specific skills within acceptable time limits when given proper training. Participate in team operations as requested. Other duties as assigned.
