Position: Executive Regional Director of Operations
Summary:

Manages the Operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in an assigned region (approximately 80+/- stores). Responsible for achieving budgeted KPI’s within region. Instills the Quality, Service, and Convenience pledge. Ensures adherence to the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program. Maintain strong communication between Operations and all departments to ensure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the Customers' first choice. Excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills needed. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights required. Reports to the President and CEO. Prior multi-unit retail management necessary.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the District Managers in the region in the performance of all corporate operations to maximize KPI’s.
  • Supervise a Regional Store Development Manager.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control and loss prevention of their region.
  • Supervise and train District Managers.
  • Approve the hiring or promotion of Associate Store Managers and their Career Development Training.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for Stores.
  • Supervise the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service plan.
  • Maintain a program of store standards for image, labor management and facilities maintenance.
  • Oversee Advertising and Sales promotion programs.
  • Responsible for the budgeting process for the Region.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Advertising and Loss Prevention.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (Intern-Temporary)

This is an hourly position and will report to the EHS Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the EHS Manager to research and complete assigned projects
  • Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
  • Prepare draft hazardous waste quarterly report packets
  • Research and update templates for safety training
  • Audit Chemical Hazard Communication HazCom labeling
  • Recommend improvements to basic EHS forms, work instructions, and SDS database the HazCom Program
  • Participate in EHS inspections
  • Other duties as assigned by the EHS Manager

 

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a four-year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
  • Must have had prior education in OSHA and EPA regulations
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with little direction
  • Must possess solid analytical and technical skills

Position: HVAC Maintenance Technician
Special Qualifications:
  • Current certification as an HVAC Technician
  • Refrigerant license
  • Valid driver’s license

Basic duties include:

Maintenance and repair of HAVC systems, light electrical duties, other duties as assigned.

Position: Associate Buyer (Part-Time)
Summary:

Assist the purchasing department in administrative tasks using excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Preferred Educational Experience:

Prefer High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Work Experience:

Competency with a personal computer required. Competency with communicating in professional manner.

Essential Functions:
  • Aids in the pre production quote process
  • Effectively enter data and file alphabetical
  • Updates system with supplier information, pricing, minimum buy quantities and lead time
  • Adapts quickly to change
  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor / manager
