This position manages operational function from facilities to financials for the Orscheln Farm & Home stores in the assigned area. The manger is responsible for hiring, training, and development of all levels of store employment.  The manager coordinates the delivery of the Quality, Service, and Convenience Pledge. This position coordinates the delivery of the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program and maintains strong communication between Operations and all departments to insure that Orscheln Farm & Home is the customer's first choice. Candidates must have excellent multi-tasking skills and outstanding follow-up skills. Daily travel to store locations, with some overnights is required. The District Manager reports to the Director of Operations. Multi-unit retail management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the assigned stores in the performance of all corporate operations to budget.
  • Responsible for sales, gross margin, management index, expense, inventory control, and loss prevention.
  • Supervise and train Store Managers.
  • Involved in the hiring/promotional practices for the Associate Store Manager training program.
  • Coordinate employee development to provide a natural progression of a qualified management staff for stores.
  • Supervise the Orscheln Trademark Customer Service Program.

Position: Product Cost & Pricing Analyst
Summary:

The position of Product Cost & Pricing Analyst is a central contributor in commercial activities for growth. The analyst works extensively with other departments in development of proposals and in building models based on market intelligence. The Pricing & Proposals team invests significant time in development of value-based pricing tools and compiling/deploying advanced business analytics to other stakeholders. Ideal candidates will possess a combination of insatiable curiosity for learning more about the industry, customers, and products as well as demonstrating an ability to effectively collaborate with technical experts, sales representatives, and senior management.

Preferred Educational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

5 years of financial analysis or pricing experience, previous work experience in Heavy Manufacturing/Transportation/Automotive industries a plus

Essential Functions:

Support Product Management on establishing/refining global product line pricing strategies:

  • Assess competitiveness of products related to pricing, promotional programs, contribution analyses, to support growth and profitability initiatives;
  • Create and maintain product and customer segmentation in support of value-based pricing initiatives;

Position: Inventory Coordinator
Summary:

Responsible for assisting the Inventory Department in Product Distribution throughout the Farm and Home chain. Interacts with Store personnel, Re-buyers, Product Management, Distribution Center, Accounting and Orscheln Farm & Home suppliers. Reports to the Inventory Planning Administrator.

Responsibilities:
  • Answers the Farm and Home Inventory Help Line and reviews e-mail for product requests from the stores.
  • Creates re-writes for the Distribution Center and stores as directed.
  • Assists the Inventory Re-buyers with direct ship purchase orders.
  • Assists the Re-buyers with product movement from the Distribution Center.
  • Contacts Farm & Home suppliers for ship dates and follow-up of purchase orders.

Position: Export Compliance Coordinator Assistant
Summary:

Assist with government regulations compliance for all shipments, documenting procedures, and maintaining records. Assist in maintaining effective export compliance programs under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Responsible for documenting procedures and maintaining records for all export shipments.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High School diploma Required. Two (2) years college or a minimum of three (3) years work experience in related field preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

Experience in a manufacturing environment, with experience related to FTA, exports, or government requirements preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and maintain precise “How To’s” folder for Compliance Manual.
  • Develop and maintain files on product classification, justification, and develop classification for those items that have none
  • Maintain Item Master of all Export items with classification
  • Input classification data within IFS
  • Attend on-going training to assure the company stays current with updated statutes
  • Attend daily CS Job Review for control classification
  • Organize and Maintain Customer FTA requests, submittals, and classifications in IFS system and handle any issues that arise accordingly for all domestic Orscheln facilities

Summary:

Position: Supply Chain Manager
Summary:

Direct, manage, and coordinate logistics, warehouse, customer service, and purchasing activities.

Preferred Educational Experience:

Bachelor degree in Business Administration preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum of seven (7) years’ work experience in Material Requirements Planning and/or Inventory Control and Distribution experience preferred. Must possess demonstrated leadership capability.

Essential Functions:
  • Responsible for overseeing safety of all employees, equipment and facilities.
  • Responsible for overseeing inventory, management process, definition of departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, elimination of obsolete and out of spec material, and reduction of aging material.
  • Develop methods and procedures for scheduling of raw material from suppliers, to support manufacturing, customers’ demands, and to minimize cost impact to the company.
  • Manage transportation system for both domestic and foreign freight to ensure all customer and regulatory requirements are met.
