Position: PC Technician
Summary:

P.C. Technicians must provide excellent customer service, while supporting Orscheln Industries’ Personal Computers. They are expected to support all operating systems installed on the desktop P.C.’s, and associated supporting software. Technicians are responsible for desktop/ hardware setup, repair and installation of peripheral components. Additionally, they are expected to become familiar with Orscheln’s Desktop networks and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Install/repair PC’s and peripheral components.
  • Install client operating systems.
  • Install application software.
  • Follow established Corporate/Departmental procedures for all areas of PC Support.
  • Travel to remote sites to troubleshoot PC/Printer/Network issues.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Above all, provide good customer service.

Qualifications

Position: Receiving Inspector
Summary:

Inspects parts, products and/or process to ensure conformance with standards. Inspects materials or products using fixed and variable measuring instruments. Verifies specified dimensions on product or material using inspection equipment. Assists production personnel in identifying and resolving quality problems.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High school diploma, ASQ certification or equivalent preferred.

Experience with Microsoft Office software preferred

Preferred Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years experience in receiving inspection desired.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop component control plans.
  • Inspect incoming components per control plan to ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Maintain electronic and/or hard-copy records of all inspections.
  • Receive and distribute MRO materials.
  • Contact suppliers when quality issues arise, and work in conjunction with Supplier QE to resolve these issues.

Position: Director of Safety & Manufacturing Systems
Summary:

Develop and Maintain World Class Systems for Safety and Manufacturing practices. The Director has the authority to direct and coordinate broad manufacturing activities toward achieving the corporate objectives in accordance with established policies.  They are responsible for the effective direction for all US and Global manufacturing facilities in conjunction with Corporate set goals. They provide counsel and assistance to other Mangers and to Operations concerning overall growth, operating policies and profit objectives.

15 years experience in plant management.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and Maintain World Class Systems for Safety and Manufacturing practices.
  • Assess present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities for the company.
  • Organize and promote the development of the company's business plan and operating policies.
  • Lead the team in developing Orscheln Performance Indicators (OPIs) that are purposeful and meaningful to achieve continuous improvement for both U.S. and Global locations.
  • Within the company’s overall plans and policies, establish short and long-term operating and financial objectives. Develop and maintain OPIs (Orscheln Performance Indicators) and BPOs (Business Plan objectives).
  • Makes certain that necessary staff advice, counsel, and assistance are provided to the facility.
  • Ensure that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied by reviewing operating plans, programs, and capital and expense budgets submitted by Managers.
  • Review and appraise the results of the activities within the company. Take or ensure appropriate remedial action as necessary.

  • Ensure that policy guidance is established for company representatives and is consistent with all other divisions of Orscheln.
  • Develop and train, then review and appraise the performance of Managers within the company. Recommend or approve compensation changes for key personnel within assigned departments in accordance with company policy. Ensure that the organizational structure is efficiently planned and adequately, competently staffed.
  • Could be called upon to help support or help lead opportunities through acquisition, and merger of existing plant facilities or building of new facilities including the overall evaluation of the utilization of physical properties.
  • Direct the development programs and methods for establishment of standards of performance and the evaluation of performance against these standards for the purpose of aiding operations in attaining their own objectives.
  • Assist in preparing short and long-range plans. Establish a budget of operations and ensure that budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.
  • Obtain and evaluate general and specific business conditions, and keep the President, or other designated member of Leadership advised on such matters.
  • Support and help advise on best operating practices for all manufacturing sites worldwide.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Missouri based operations are leading in the One World One Quality and are available to support other manufacturing sites worldwide. Work toward ensuring global consistency, support all plants, and ensure that staff will select the “right” site for manufacturing product.
  • Ensure that systems, such as MRP, are supported by the defined “super user” of the company, and policy and procedures are set up to work for all sites. Ensure training and implementation that is timely to all sites.
  • Responsible for adhering to and/or enforcing all Orscheln operating policies and practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the President or other designated member of Leadership.
  • Support the efficient procurement of raw materials, pursuit of cost reductions, formation of strategic partnering with supply base, and reducing the number of suppliers with purchases under $5,000 annually.

Position: Supplier Quality Engineer
Summary:

Plans and directs activities with supply base, strategic partners, joint ventures and acquisitions, concerned with the development, application and maintenance of quality standards for processes, materials and products. Assists quality personnel with daily quality requirements for production and provide support to other departments and customers as required on quality issues.

Preferred Educational Experience:

Bachelor’s degree preferred, will consider associates with applicable work experience.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in quality and manufacturing. Auditing experience preferred.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop and implement methods and standards of inspection, testing, and evaluation to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist Purchasing in the development of a qualified vendor base and work with them to resolve quality issues.
  • Devise sampling procedures and related forms / instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data to American National Standard.
  • Assist the production teams on issues related to corrective and preventive actions.
  • Works closely with other departments to create liaison and channel information exchange. Job requirements are flexible and individual must be able to adapt to changing conditions.
  • Organize and implement quality audits, including resolution of non-conformances.

Position: Technical Sales Engineer (TSE)
Summary:

The TSE shall support the Account Manager in all new and existing key customer projects and initiatives – reduced time to market and profitable sales growth is the key. The TSE identifies new opportunities and applications at existing key accounts through close contact with customer engineering and manufacturing departments. The TSE will be responsible for part number assignment, BOM development, preliminary product design drawings and customer quotations, supported by internal costing process. The TSE coordinates all product launch activities at the customer including supporting customer pilot builds and trials.

The TSE will work with the Product Specialists, on all product lines, to maximize technical solutions for the customer. The TSE will be self-starting, motivated to learn and achieve.

The TSE will work with the Product Development/Marketing team to propose improvements to current products and launch new solutions.

Preferred Educational Experience:

B.S., M.E., E.E., MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

3-5 years experience in a commercial equipment / vehicle environment.

Essential Functions:
  • Manages Part Number Assignment.
  • Responsible for preliminary design prints and models for customer consideration.
  • Performs basic testing and supports customer trials, including on-site prototype and pilot builds.
  • Submits product costing request to Product Cost Analyst.

Summary:

The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer will assist our Manufacturing team to support the design and development of electronics control and monitoring circuitry for powered equipment applications.
