Position: Purchasing Manager
Summary:

Provide leadership and strategic direction for the development and delivery of supply chain services of the company, including; Production, MRO and Pre-Production materials. Investigates all new developments relative to material and supplies and makes recommendations designed to reduce costs and improve quality. Responsible for maintaining and ensuring that Procurement is in compliance with ISO 9001-2008.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree preferred with a minimum of five (5) years experience in purchasing management including the global market or an Associate Degree with a minimum of ten (10) years experience in purchasing management including serving the global market.

Experience:

Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning. Competency with personal computer. Previous management experience required.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish supply chain strategies and plans consistent with overall department and corporate strategic direction.
  • Contract administration that includes: Claims, Back-Charges, and Dispute Resolution.
  • Lead in the development and qualification of sources to support the ongoing purchase of supplies, tooling, and services at the most cost effective level while monitoring and ensuring that supplier quality, service and performance remain consistent.
  • Develops appropriate metrics that measure performance of the department and report monthly.
  • Influence decision making of each buyer with their commodity responsibilities.
  • Provide leadership, direction and guidance to support procurement policies.
  • Use expertise and knowledge of industry standards and best practices to identify supply and quality problems proactively and lead the development of correction actions.
  • Is fiscally responsible for department and preparing annual departmental capital and expense budgets.
  • Supervise Purchasing personnel.
  • Works closely with Engineering on material issues and supply.
  • Establish and approve sources of raw materials and supplies. Receives quotations and secures bids.
  • Cooperates with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Support cost reduction goals.
  • Visits suppliers to investigate facilities, capacity and ability to meet quality requirements.
  • Works cooperatively with Supplier Quality with preparation of the Supplier Quality Manual and the Supplier Development Program.
  • Monitor on-time receipts and expedite orders as necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: General Manager of Orscheln Operations
Summary:

Has the authority to direct and coordinate broad manufacturing activities toward achieving the corporate objectives in accordance with established policies. Responsible for the effective operation of all manufacturing facilities in conjunction with the goals as set by Corporate. Provides counsel and assistance to other Managers and to Operations concerning their overall growth, operating policies and profit objectives.

Education:

B.S. and/or 10 years experience in plant management.

Work Experience:

15 years experience in plant management.

Responsibilities:
  • Assesses present and future needs, trends, problems and profit opportunities for the company.
  • Organize and promotes, in development of business plan and operating policies for company.
  • Within the company's overall plans and policies, establishes short and long-term operating and financial objectives.
  • Makes certain that necessary staff advice, counsel and assistance are provided to the facility.
  • Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied, by reviewing operating plans, programs, and capital and expense budgets submitted by Managers.
  • Review and appraises the results of the activities within the company. Takes or ensures appropriate remedial action as necessary.
  • Reviews and evaluates contracts, appropriations and expenditure requests submitted by management; approves those with authority, submits those beyond authority to President of Manufacturing along with recommendations.
  • Ensures that policy guidance is established for company representatives and is consistent with all other divisions of Orscheln.
  • Develops and trains executive personnel within company and reviews and appraises their performance. Recommends or approves compensation changes for key personnel within assigned departments in accordance with company policy. Ensures that the organizational structure is efficiently planned and adequately and competently staffed.
  • Supervises and directs staff functions such as personnel, public and stockholder relations, purchasing, operations, engineering, quality assurance, design and development, systems, marketing and financial.
  • Supervises the investigation of opportunities through acquisition, and merger of existing plant facilities or building of new facilities including the overall evaluation of the utilization of physical properties.
  • Directs the development programs and methods for establishment of standards of performance and the evaluation of performance against these standards for the purpose of aiding operations in attaining their own objectives.
  • Assists the President of Manufacturing in preparing short and long-range plans. Establishes a budget of operations and ensures that budgeted goals are achieved and cost objectives are met.
  • Obtains and evaluates general and specific business conditions, and keeps the President of Manufacturing advised on such matters.
  • Maintains close personal relationship with officers of important customers, prospective customers and suppliers. Promotes satisfactory relations with industry and trade groups, press and public.
  • Assumes the duties of the President of Manufacturing in the event of his/her absence or disability.
  • Responsible for adhering to and/or enforcing all Orscheln operating policies and practices.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and/or the President of Manufacturing.

Position: Production Supervisor
Summary:

Directs the operation of production department activities, and monitors capacity of and assures safe and cost effective utilization of equipment and labor.

Education:

High School degree or equivalent preferred

Work Experience:

Five (5) years experience operating screw machines. Three (3) years leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Determine feasibility of manufacturing schedule and make adjustments when necessary. Coordinates with Maintenance, operators/operator set-ups on execution of maintenance schedule for plant equipment.
  • Directs work of direct and indirect personnel as necessary to meet production and shipping schedules.
  • Coordinates with Training & Development and Risk Management to assure that all required safety, health and environmental training is given to employees on a timely basis.
  • Direct and coordinates activities so those products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Monitors employee performance and quality and provides regular feedback to each employee.
  • Monitors expenses to insure they are in line with the budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Manager of Golf Operations and Marketing
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily operation of the clubhouse and golf shop.
  • Hire, train, schedule and supervise necessary staff for the snack bar, golf shop and cart service.
  • Employ an active, hands-on management approach combined with cost-effective scheduling of personnel to insure that a consistently high level of service is provided to all patrons at minimal overhead cost.
  • Select and negotiate with vendors.
  • Manage golf shop and snack bar supplies and inventory.
  • Manage accounts receivable.
  • Solicit and secure business, to include single golf income, tournament income, and annual membership income to budget expectations.
  • Establish marketing plans to increase customer base.
  • Manage tournaments to provide expected service levels and maximize margins.
  • Manage tee times to assure play is maintained at a reasonable pace.
  • Make recommendations to upper management for operational improvements.


Prior golf course management experience with a proven track record of success is desired.

  • Remove, sharpen and/or replace tooling in machines as required
