Position: Staff Accountant
Summary:

Prepares income statement, balance sheet, and various other accounting statements and reports.  Prepares general ledger journal entries.  Reconciles balance sheet accounts.  Compiles information for auditors.  Responsible for adding, deleting, and transferring assets on the fixed asset ledger.  Assists the clerks in the department as needed.

Educational Experience:

Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or equivalent.

Work Experience:

One (1) to two (2) years general accounting experience.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs analysis of financial results.
  • Prepares general ledger journal entries in order to prepare the monthly financial statements.
  • Maintains project log and sets up new projects in all necessary systems.  Responsible for accounting for projects including capital, expense, and cost of sales projects.
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed asset ledger which includes adding, removing, and transferring assets, as well as preparing depreciation entry and audit schedules.
  • Responsible for balancing checking accounts at month end.
  • Invoices miscellaneous charges to affiliate companies.
  • Prepares audit schedules on a monthly basis for audit purposes.
  • Prepares invoices and supporting documentation for plating operation.
  • Assists the clerks in the department as needed.
  • Completes sales tax returns and informational reports for governmental agencies.
  • Distributes financial statements and other reports or communications.
  • Assists the cost accountant in maintaining cost files.
  • Responsible for maintaining sales commission program, which includes analysis, data entry, and reporting.
  • Other projects as assigned.

Position: Product Engineer
Summary:

Perform a variety of engineering work in design, development, manufacturing, and troubleshooting of all Orscheln products to meet customer expectations which include both external and internal customers.

Educational Experience:

BSME, BSIT or closely related field

Work Experience:
  • Evaluate compliance of Orscheln Co. manufacturing standards, drawings, specifications and products with customer specifications, drawings and other expectations
  • Develop and review manufacturing routings
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (stock reqs, tool data sheets, expense reports)
  • Define product compliance and acceptable limits through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation and statistical methods
  • Define, execute, and document product evaluation procedures
  • Recommend and coordinate product improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate prototype and production quotes for all tooling, equipment, and materials
  • Support manufacturing projects as assigned
  • Complete all types of customer service mail as assigned
  • Coordinate the purchase of prototype and production tools, fixtures, gauges, and equipment
  • Utilize project management tools on projects to serve as a planning and progress monitor
  • Coordinate all aspects of production sample submission
  • Work with customers as required
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned

Position: ASSEMBLY OPERATOR (1st and 2nd shift positions available)
SUMMARY:

Assemble component in a manner which produces a cost effective quality product, safely and on time. Participate in team operations within corporate policy guidelines.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School degree or equivalent preferred but not required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Prior assembly experience preferred but not required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Communicate within the assembly team to provide needed information for the manufacture of product. Perform assigned or required tasks to assure product is correct and on time. Assist teammates to complete tasks in a timely manner. Document and maintain required product information. Aid the teams' efforts to continually improve efficiencies and reduce costs. Perform assembly specific skills within acceptable time limits when given proper training. Participate in team operations as requested. Other duties as assigned.
