Position:  Engineering Department Clerk (Part Time)
SUMMARY:

Scan paper drawings, using scanner & PC. Create electronic file and place file in proper directory, using established procedures. Follow general instructions pertaining to scanner & PC software. Routing maintenance in IFS.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:

High School degree or equivalent preferred, but not required.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

No previous work experience is necessary, but must show willingness to learn.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Summary:

Coordinate design, development, quoting, specifications, drawings, vendor activity, installation, and support of equipment and processes for manufacture of Orscheln products. Autonomy of activity is a function of experience, demonstrated ability and grade level.

Preferred Educational Experience:

BSME, BSIE or two (2) year technical degree.

Preferred Work Experience:

Minimum three (3) years work experience in engineering support field.

Essential Functions:
  • Develop tooling, capital equipment, gauge and fixturing requirements for new products.
  • Develop manufacturing routings.
  • Execute typical administrative procedures (i.e.: stock requisitions, RFQ’s, ECR’s, ECN’s).
  • Review production capacity.
  • Define process capability through measurement, verification, process studies, documentation and statistical methods.
  • Support continuous improvement team activities.
  • Manage the areas of Orscheln business as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot tool, equipment and process issues.
  • Develop and implement error proofing.
  • Assist with operator training as required.
  • Develop job instruction sheets.

Position: Human Resources Assistant
Summary:

Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes, and process payroll for manufacturing facilities. Act as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.

Preferred Educational Experience:

High School degree or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Work Experience:

One (1) to three (3) years in Human Resources Department. Knowledge of computers, calculator, fax and copy machines.

Essential Functions:
  • Collect all necessary data, run reports, make changes including but not limited to title, pay grades, rates, and vacation, and process payroll for manufacturing facilities on a biweekly basis.
  • Responsible for administering, communicating, tracking, and following up on Leave of Absences for all Non Farm & Home Orscheln companies.
  • Health Services including pre-employment drug screen, random non-DOT and DOT.
  • Send, track, and maintain evaluations and wage reviews for all employees of Orscheln Products, Glendinning, and QuEST Rail.
  • Coordinate random non-DOT and DOT drug screening
  • Maintain Personnel, Medical, and Training files, I-9 copies, E-Verify program per company policies and ISO standards.
  • Act as a liaison and counsel employees on benefit provisions and various Human Resources procedures and policies.
  • Responsible for all labor reporting and attendance tracking for Moberly manufacturing sites.
  • Track and maintain attendance and leave of absence information for Moberly manufacturing companies.
  • Answer routine inquiries for employment verifications via phone and mail.
  • Door Badge – ID Badge system, create badges and make changes. Run quarterly audits as needed.

 

Non-Essential Functions:
  • Order and maintain health services supplies, pre-employment drug screen kits, DOT kits, and paperwork.
  • Responsible for billing for drug screens and supplies.
  • Coordinate and order Implemented Ideas lunches.
  • Committee member on Fundraising Committee.
  • Orientation for all Heritage Hills and Orscheln Properties hourly employees.
  • Perform pre-employment medical/drug screens for all Moberly facilities.

Position: Sporting Goods Department Head
Job Description:

To oversee the day-to-day operation of the sporting goods department, including overseeing compliance and sales of new firearms to ensure customer service needs. Directly reports to the Store Manager.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee sales floor in order to promote sales for firearms while maintaining compliance and safe handling of the firearms.
  • Ensure ATF compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as Federal, State, and local regulations. Ensure compliance with all firearms paperwork.
  • Processing of firearms (recording and receiving) within 24 hours of delivery from freight carrier.
  • Provide training and development for selling of firearms.
  • Insure company standards of EDR are maintained.
  • Setting and maintaining plan-o-grams.
  • Maintaining pricing integrity, including shelf label maintenance and weekly price verification.
  • Merchandising of all non-planogram areas including top shelf, cheater shelf, end caps, and stack outs per company standards.
  • Implementation and maintenance of company sign program within the department.
  • Full understanding and execution of Customer Satisfaction mission.
  • Communication of out of stocks along with possible additional sales opportunities on a weekly basis to Merchandise Assistant Manager or Store Manager.
  • Implementation and maintenance of multiple locations (green dot program), outdates (red dot program) and rotation of stock.
  • Timely processing of freight and maintenance of back stock area if necessary.
  • Set up flyer merchandise including signage, assemblies, and feature presentation.
  • Insure timely flow of incoming merchandise along with any back stock merchandise to the sales floor within their department.
  • Supervision of Sporting Goods department associates.
  • Other duties as assigned by store management team.

 

Requirements of Position:
  • 1+ years of experience in selling of firearms in a retail establishment
  • General firearms knowledge
  • ATF compliance knowledge & experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

 

Other Qualifications:
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Subject to applicable background check
  • Full time: 35 hours or more per week including nights and weekends
  • Prior working knowledge and compliance of the lawful sales of firearms preferred

Position: Environmental, Health & Safety (Intern-Temporary)

This is an hourly position and will report to the EHS Manager.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the EHS Manager to research and complete assigned projects
  • Assist in safety compliance audits and report findings and assist in development of corrective action plans
  • Prepare draft hazardous waste quarterly report packets
  • Research and update templates for safety training
  • Audit Chemical Hazard Communication HazCom labeling
  • Recommend improvements to basic EHS forms, work instructions, and SDS database the HazCom Program
  • Participate in EHS inspections

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be enrolled in a four-year Occupational Health and Safety program, in Junior or Senior standing
  • Must have had prior education in OSHA and EPA regulations
